Approach

Heal and Restore Therapy believes that you are in the driver seat of your life.

I utilize an integrative and holistic approach to therapy because I believe that every individual is unique in their needs and how they view the world; and those needs can sometimes change during the therapeutic process. Although, I utilize traditional talk therapies, I am also a firm believer in body-brain based techniques, which connects us to our bodies. Many people have not practiced or ever heard of these techniques before; therefore making them appear seemingly scary. I like to provide space for you to go at your own pace and to help you achieve the healing that you deserve.

As a Marital and Family Therapist, I have specialized training in relational therapy, also known as Systemic Therapy. This means that I bring a unique perspective where I’m able to conceptualize and explore the relational factors in your life (meaning the different types of relationships you have in your life). I do this because we are typically experiencing our emotions based on external and environmental factors and/or stimuli, including interpersonal relationships. It’s important for you to understand how connected all parts of your life are and how to address them to achieve a balanced life.

I also encourage respect from all therapy participants towards everyone involved in the therapeutic journey. This is because when there is more than one person in attendance, people are bound to have different perspectives and we like to allow space for that.

Some of the therapy models that I use are Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing, Inner Relationship Focusing, Strengths-Based, Systemic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
