Meet The Therapist
Hey!
I’m Rosalie Coriolan, a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT) serving the people of the Nutmeg State, Connecticut! I strive to create a space where you feel safe to explore the challenges you are experiencing, by providing a compassionate and nonjudgmental atmosphere.
I founded Heal and Restore Therapy because I believe that we all have healing to do, no matter how “big or small“. The catalyst for me to become a therapist was seeing firsthand, the pain and hurt that so many people of color and immigrant populations experienced. I witnessed how by not having a proper outlet for those emotions, led to outwardly displaying anger, sadness, and every other emotion in between. I wanted to be able to do something about that and help people, like the people I knew, get the help that they deserve.
As a first generation Caribbean black woman, I bring a unique lens to the therapeutic process. Sometimes during a session, we may have a shared lived experience that won’t even need to be said or explained aloud. I want a better mental health future for all of us. We hurt, we feel, and we can get better.
When we gain self-awareness, acknowledge the words/language we use, and recognize our behaviors/actions, I believe that we can truly begin to change our lives. Are you ready?
